The Senior Accountant will work collaboratively with other members of the team to complete month-end close functions, assist in driving operational efficiencies and be a strategic partner to other departments in the organization. The Senior Accountant will have the opportunity to advance their skills and make positive impacts in the department and in the overall organization. This position reports to the Director of Accounting & Reporting.

What your day will look like:
· Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations
· Prepare month-end journal entries and analysis associated with fixed assets including capitalization, depreciation, roll forwards and impairment reviews
· Prepare and post month-end journal entries and analysis associated with lease accounting under ASC842
· Identify, evaluate, and record lease agreements as operating versus finance and manage lease remeasurements
· Utilize financial system applications, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Leases & Fixed Assets
· Perform analysis and provide insight into account balance details and drivers of change, particularly around depreciation and lease related expenses
· Partner with Finance to support the annual budgeting and ongoing forecasting for depreciation, rent, and occupancy costs
· Develop and support business partners across the organization
· Ad hoc reporting utilizing data warehouse and other advanced Excel techniques
The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent combination of education and experience
· 4-5 years of experience in Accounting (Retail, Big 4, CPA preferred)
· Collaborative with others at all levels within and outside Finance
· Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, xlookups, etc.), familiarity with Lawson or similar ERPs (preferred)
· Strong analytical and time management skills
· Excellent communication and organizational skills
· Proactively identifies and develops a pathway to solve problems
· Ability to multi-task with a strong sense of urgency
