Senior Voice Network Engineer

A Senior Voice Network Engineer is responsible for owning the design and integrity of American Signature’s internal network, including customer-facing hosted and cloud environments. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support business initiatives by providing support, administration, design and senior level technical capabilities fordesigning, implementing and testing complex infrastructure in support of our internal and external customer needs.Ability to envision and put together a strategy on how network and security technologies can enable the business for more efficiency and effectiveness, reduce costs, and enable PCI compliance.
  • Partner with and manage vendors to create and support technical standards and procedures for leading technologies.
  • Work effectively with internal partners to deliver high quality solutions that leverage multiple technologies and enable business users.
  • Responsible for pro-active monitoring, alerting, automated responses and final resolution.
  • Improve the speed of technology implementation and eliminate the need for outside resources
  • Effectively communicate technical directions in both written and verbal methods
  • Maintain an understanding of the tools, technical environment, and business processes necessary to monitor and evaluate the system implementations for trends that could impact business operations


  • Switching (Capacity Planning & VLAN’s)
  • Experience supporting an enterprise Cisco wireless voice network
  • Routing (OSPF, RIPv2, BGP)
  • WAN Technology (MPLS, VPLS, VPN)
  • Voice Technologies (POTS, VoIP, SIP Trunking)
  • Knowledge of Cisco ASA and Fortinet Firewalls
  • Security software such as Anti-virus, Anti-SPAM, Anti-Spyware, and other security related technologies
  • Knowledge of advanced network services, ie IP Multicast, QOS, etc.
  • Experience supporting video and audio-conferencing bridges
  • Proven scripting experience for Cisco CCX and other applications
  •  In depth, technical skills for Cisco equipment including CCX, CER, Call Manager, CUPC, Unity
  • Lifecycle and change management, including all documentation and communication processes
  • Be available for other team members and coach them to resolution
  • Proficiency with SD-WAN, WAN, LAN topologies for voice networks
  • Knowledge of telecom circuit ordering, installation and troubleshooting
  • Detailed knowledge of internal voice / data wiring * including Cat 5, 5E, 6 and fiber
  • Able to multi-task and communicate effectively to internal and external clients and supervisor
  • Ability to work in a self-directed manner recognizing urgent and important matters
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize assigned work, and proactively address issues in an effective manner
