Market Visual Manager

The Market Visual Manager is critical in ensuring we meet that goal, by implementing the visual merchandising strategy for their markets. This person advises a team of visual merchandisers that create appealing and eye-catching displays that lead the customer through the entire store. This role reports directly to the Market Leader partners directly with the Home Office Visual Merchandising Team. Our team members are encouraged to develop and move into more challenging roles as their career progresses. ò Employee discounts at our affiliate brands which includeû Value City Furniture, American Signature Furniture, DSW, and American Eagle Outfitters A successful Market Visual Manager will: ò Verify the execution of brand standards/guides/floor plans through the store's visual merchandiser. ò Assist in the management of store inventory to discourage overages and shortages. ò Assist in fostering an energetic and positive working environment for all visual merchandisers. ò Listens to the customersÆ needs and presents possible options. ò Stay current on product knowledge to assist in the training and development of store visual merchandisers. ò Provide guidance to Store Leadership on ways to improve the business through analyzing reports. ò Aide in the coaching and development of store visual merchandisers. ò Assist in the recruiting, training, and development of visual merchandisers. The Ideal Candidate will have, among other skills and abilities: ò 7+ years of experience in visual merchandising, High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience ò At least 3-5 year management experience is preferred ò Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos ò Possesses a strong sense of style and ability to create visually appealing displays ò Ability to safely lift up to 40lbs ò Ability to travel within market up to 60% ò Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and team members ò Proactive approach; identifies and solves problems ò Adaptability; flexible to shifting priorities and a changing environment
