Responsible for talent, operations, customer/brand experience and overall profitability in a market that consists of 8 - 15 stores. This person is a leader and coach, and a champion of our culture and values. The Market Leader reports directly to the Sr. Divisional Director or VP of Sales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Owns the Market P&L, driving sales while managing the bottom line.
  • Develops and leads a team of Store Managers providing leadership, direction and continued coaching and feedback
  • Builds a talent bench by developing internal talent and attracting external talent
  • Drives a high-performance culture with a customer-centric approach that achieves results
  • Executes plans and delivers results against the company’s long-term strategy
  • Inspires and motivates teams on the company’s Game Plan
  • Leads change throughout the Market
  • Ensures the execution of the merchandising experience throughout the Market
  • Executes all selling and delivery initiatives
  • Sets clear expectations and holds teams accountable to operational standards
  • Keeps current on local competition to share promotional and operational insights with store teams and home office partners.

The ideal candidate will have among other skills and abilities:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3+ years of multi-unit retail leadership experience
  • Ability to read and interpret documents including profit and loss statements
  • Ability to write reports and correspondence
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers and team members
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and adapt in a fast-paced sales environment
  • Proven experience in strategic and organizational development, including the ability to attract, develop and retain best in class talent across a multi-unit environment
  • Proficient using business related technology systems
  • Proactive approach; identifies and solves problems
  • Adaptability; flexible to changing market forces and shifting priorities
  • Ability to break down complex ideas and communicate them in simple and easy to understand ways
