Who should apply to the Emerging Leaders Internship program?
The Emerging Leaders Internship program is a paid summer internship for students who are currently in their 3rd or 4th year in a bachelor's program that are interested in future full-time opportunities at American Signature. Students who identify with a group that is historically underrepresented in the workforce, including but not limited to Black, Hispanic, Native American, and female students are encouraged to apply. We are committed to building the leaders of tomorrow.
What is the scope of the program?
The program lasts for 9 weeks (May – August) and includes core functional work, special projects, and leadership development. Our program’s goal is to attract and prepare these students for future opportunities within our organization.
What kinds of training opportunities are available within the program?
Outside of core project work, interns have the opportunity to take advantage of the learning and development programs American Signature offers. We encourage interns to invest in themselves and grow their personal and professional skills. Through our internship program, we offer a professional development series, leadership speaker series, and community building activities to connect with team members all over the company.
Store Operations Intern

To that purpose, we are committed to providing our customers with an easy and fun furniture shopping experience. The Store Operations Intern is critical in ensuring we meet that goal, by supporting the store leaders on various tasks that impact the stores bottom line. The Store Operations Intern must be highly organized in not only administrative tasks but be a strategic thought partner to all the cross functional teams. The intern will assist in driving the process behind crucial projects that will impact the stores’ business and customer experience. This position reports to the Senior Manager of Store Operations.
Some of the functions the Store Operations Intern will perform:
- Maintain calendars, including day-to-day and long-term management of meetings, projects and priorities
- Collect, create and assemble information for presentations, projects and strategic planning
- Schedule all meetings and travel, including prioritizing meetings and communicating all relevant details to participants
- Ensure manager is prepared for upcoming meetings by creating and gathering materials necessary for each meeting
- Submit and reconcile expense reports
The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:
- Self-Identifies as a member of a historically underrepresented group including but not limited to Black, Hispanic, Native American, and Women
- Working towards Bachelors degree in Retails, Business, Merchandising or related field
- 3.0 GPA or higher
