Who should apply to the Emerging Leaders Internship program?
The Emerging Leaders Internship program is a paid summer internship for students who are currently in their 3rd or 4th year in a bachelor's program that are interested in future full-time opportunities at American Signature. Students who identify with a group that is historically underrepresented in the workforce, including but not limited to Black, Hispanic, Native American, and female students are encouraged to apply. We are committed to building the leaders of tomorrow.
What is the scope of the program?
The program lasts for 9 weeks(6/10/2024-8/9/2024) and includes core functional work, special projects, and leadership development. Our program’s goal is to attract and prepare these students for future opportunities within our organization
What kinds of training opportunities are available within the program?
Outside of core project work, interns have the opportunity to take advantage of the learning and development programs American Signature offers. We encourage interns to invest in themselves and grow their personal and professional skills. Through our internship program, we offer a professional development series, leadership speaker series, and community building activities to connect with team members all over the company.
Systems Administration Intern

To that purpose, we are committed to providing our customers with an easy and fun furniture shopping experience. The Systems Administration Intern will gain valuable and practical experience in various areas of Systems Administration including, but not limited to, Active Directory, Microsoft Server technologies (Windows Server 2008 – 2012, Microsoft System Center Suite, Office 365). Knowledge gained throughout this internship will be used to deploy and administer collaborative SharePoint sites for functional groups across the corporate office.
As the Systems Administration Intern, you will:
- Learn and develop skills in information technology to include networking of computers and system-wide support
- Develop skills to communicate with IT professionals as well as professionals in other departments
- Assist in implementation of corporate intranet (SharePoint)
- Perform software installations and resolve issues with computer software/hardware
- Assist in configuring, monitoring, upgrading, and supporting multiple systems, operating systems, and applications
- Attend weekly team strategy meetings
- Assist in management of corporate mobile devices (iOS)
- Develop and update documentation of systems
- Train department site owners on managing and maintaining collaborative intranet sites
- Gain practical experience in various systems
- Troubleshoot end-user issues (Windows PC and Mac OS)
- Develop practical knowledge of ITIL standards
- Be someone who Owns it, meaning you take ownership and responsibility for our shared success. You are someone who proactively identifies and solves problems
The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:

- Working towards Bachelors degree in IT, Business or related field
- 3.0 GPA or higher
