Visual Manager

At American Signature Inc., we believe everyone has the right to a well-furnished life.  Every day, our customers embark upon their personal style journey—an adventure.  To that purpose, we are committed to providing our customers with an easy and fun furniture shopping experience.  The Visual Manager is critical in ensuring we meet that goal, by implementing the visual merchandising strategy.  This person creates appealing and eye-catching visual displays that lead the customer through the entire store.  This role reports directly to the Store Manager.

Some of the functions the Visual Manager will perform:

  • Manages up to two part time Design Center Consultants
  • Facilitates working relationship between Design Center Consultant and the Sales Team
  • Stays up to date on current product knowledge
  • Implements and customizes floor plan
  • Directs Home Furnishing Sales Consultants on returning showroom to grand open ready for the next day
  • Manages inventory to discourage overages and shortages
  • Assists in fostering an energetic and positive working environment
  • Listens to the customers’ needs and presents possible options
  • Presents oneself in a way that represents the brand positively

The Ideal Candidate will have, among other skills and abilities:

  • Possesses a strong sense of style and ability to create visually appealing displays
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and team members
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
  • Desire to continuously improve
